Blog Challenge(40/365) - Roommates

You know when you have the adult moment of revisiting your college days and tagging who the joey of your group was, the Robin, the Sheldon? One might be able to associate their gang members with the “characters” who, impacted our lives in some ways. But what happens in reality is far away from fiction, and this comes with a dramatic background score as I write. I give myself the liberty and admiration to survive 5 roommates. You know how a wise man once said, one is a loner, two is company, and three is a crowd. But when 6 girls live together, in the prime of their youth and fertilization; it’s called a mental house. Did this only happen to me? There is always a drama queen, the shopper, the gossiper, the vegan, the all cute and the life sorted role-model. We all got together, tied by the common goal to save money on accommodation and somehow get through grad school. This can go south real speedy, if the situation is not treated with some care, some fake affection and loads of diplomacy; that’s just how the XX chromosome world runs. So now either you all will be inseparable, howling girl power or hate each other for life. In my case, we all held it together for a very long time. Even though I craved a religious weekend bar goer, but it was still delightful. Some left, most stayed. With lack of time and the race to run called life, we now have a common communication area; a whatsapp group, where we remind each other of the worst low, and best still to come. To virtually hold each other and let them know, not that you stayed so long, you ain’t getting rid of me; we are permanent roommates. To all the roommates, Cheers!!
