Continuing my sincere attempt in finding free things to do in Los Angeles, I found myself in Downtown LA again to attend the annual “Night on Broadway”. This event is a part of bringing back Broadway initiative; an attempt to rejuvenate Los Angeles’s theater street. I walked into the festive street with live music, street food, live performances, open house theater and display of community tradition. I had seen the Ferris wheel and heard about the silent disco before, but what struck me here was the Earth Harp. I had no clue what these long wires extending to a 12-story tower meant. At first, I thought it could be a creative art display and started taking random pictures of this piece and saved it as a souvenir of an unconventional evening I spent. Still inquisitive about the harp I came home and started searching the Harp,” it was a music Instrument”. This 1000 feet, illuminated strings piece was the innovation of musician William Close, which he would play with of both his hands simultaneously, while standing. I stuck my head in my pillow, convincing myself of at least witnessing him play, if not in person, and to be get set ready for night on Broadway 2019.
